The Panzerkampfwagen 38(t), a traditional pre-WWII tank, featured riveted armor and rear placement of its engine. Originating from Czechoslovakia as the TNHP-S, it became part of Germany's army post their invasion due to insufficient German tanks. The '38' indicated its introduction year, while 't' signified Tschechisch or Czech in German. From 1940 to 1942, over 1,400 units were produced and saw service in France and later the Russian front, including the Battle of Kursk. Its riveted construction differed from German models; although cheaper and simpler, direct hits often resulted in lethal outcomes due to flying rivets. Armed with a 37mm main gun (42 rounds), and two machine guns, it ran on a Praga EPA 125hp engine.
