The Bren Carrier was a ubiquitous tracked vehicle of the war, with estimates suggesting as many as 200,000 were produced, including foreign-built derivatives. A significant number of them were captured and put to use by the Wehrmacht, including forces from the 3rd Panzer Grenadier Division. Assigned to the 4th Company of the 3rd Tank Hunter Battalion, this unit was formed in Italy as part of a reconstituted division in 1943. Organized into tank hunter teams, these vehicles were used for rapid ambush attacks. German troops appreciated their mobility, reliability, and compact size, which allowed them to quickly deploy into position and make swift, undetected withdrawals after launching a strike. Each unit consisted of four to six men and was equipped with an MG42 machine gun, three Panzerschrecks, and up to six Panzerfausts. It has been incorrectly claimed that the Panzerschrecks were mounted on a makeshift firing platform at the back of the Bren carrier, but in reality, they were only transport racks for the weapons, which were dismounted before being fired conventionally. This model is a modified version of m_bergman's 1:100 scale Universal Carrier, with significant changes made to reflect the German conversion. Additional detailing was taken from TigerAce1945's Stowage Project.
