The Sd.Kfz. 101 Panzerkampfwagen I was a German armored fighting vehicle used during World War II. The first part of this article will focus on the hull and interior of the vehicle. The hull of the Panzer I was designed to be lightweight yet provide adequate protection for its crew. It featured a flat, rectangular shape with a sloping front and a rear that tapered down to a point. The hull was made up of steel plates welded together, providing a solid foundation for the vehicle's armor plating. The interior of the Panzer I was simple yet functional. It consisted of a small compartment for the driver, a larger space for the commander and gunner, and a tiny area at the rear for the loader. The crew members sat on wooden benches with minimal protection from the elements. Inside the hull, the engine was situated in the front left corner, while the transmission and fuel tank were located in the rear right corner. A small compartment housed the battery and electrical components.
