The Panzer 35(t), a Czech-designed light tank, was mainly utilized by Nazi Germany during World War II. The letter 't' signifies Czech. In Czech service, it was designated as Lehký Tank vzor 35 or LT vz. 35. Built in 434 units, German forces seized 244 when occupying Bohemia-Moravia in March 1939 and Slovakia acquired 52 during their independence from Czechoslovakia. The remaining tanks were exported to Bulgaria and Romania. German forces employed it in the early years of WWII, including Poland invasion, France battle, and Soviet Union invasion before retiring or selling in 1942. The tank served other nations and as a training tank in Bulgaria until the 1950s.
