The Panton chair is an S-shaped plastic chair, created in the 1960s by the Danish designer Verner Panton.1 It is the first chair made of moulded plastic. In 2006 it entered the list of the canons of Danish culture. Over the years, the Panton Chair, originally known as S Panton Chair, has been exhibited in Denmark and abroad. It is now in the permanent collections of several design museums, including the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Design Museum in London, the German Historical Museum in Berlin and the Designmuseum Danmark in Copenhagen.
