Textures: Hull = 4096 Suspension + Sideskirts = 4096 Turret = 2048 Historical Information The Panther tank, a German world war II behemoth, was introduced in 1943 as a response to the Russian medium and heavy tanks and their sloped armor. This Ausführung G version, unveiled in March 1944, addressed various faults in previous production models with significant changes. The new hull design boasted slightly increased side armor, making it a formidable opponent on the battlefield. A distinctive visual feature of this version is the 90° slope added to the gun mantlet, known as the chin mantlet, which effectively prevents enemy shells from ricocheting off and into the lightly armored top of the hull. The camouflage scheme is based on a combat unit spotted in March 1945. The unusual colors arise from the lack of paint towards the end of the war, resulting in the prominent red factory primer. Historical Colors used: RAL 7028 (Dark Yellow) RAL 8012 (Red Oxide) RAL 6003 (Olive Green)
