Panic / Any Key for Cherry MX Switches (e.g. Ducky One 2)
thingiverse
Recently I bought a new Ducky One 2 SF keyboard. I just love the Cherry MX switches and the exchangable keycaps. Of course I need to make some keycaps myself. So I made a Panic-key and an Any-Key. The Panic-key is a replacement for the original Esc-key. The Any-key replaces the right Alt-Key. I designed two Panic-key and let you choose which one looks better. For a special translucent effect the bottom of the letter area is very thin so that light from beneath shines trough. Without light the keys are completely black. The keycaps should fit on any keyboard with Cherry MX switches though the design of my keys is made especially for the Ducky One 2 series. Important: These keys are not meant to be printed on FDM-printers. It might work but for best results use a SLA-printer like Anycubic Photon, Elegoo Mars, etc. HowTo for best results: - Print at a 30° angle, use supports where necessary. - Wash and cure the parts (SLA only). - Paint only the letter area in a color of your choice (repeat 2x). - Let the paint dry. - Remove the excess paint by wet sanding (400 grit). - Wet sand the whole part. Start at 600 grit and go all the way to 2500 grit. - Do not dry sand! This will result in white scratchmarks. - Polish the key with 4000 grit. - Install your brand new key. - Don't Panic!
