Pangolin scales
thingiverse
These are pangolin scales sized to match species-specific measurements provided in the scientific literature. They are intended for use in training pangolin field and handling techniques (e.g., notching for individual identification or approaches to attaching a tracking device to the scale) in order to reduce the need for testing and training on live pangolins. These scales were adapted from a 3D scan of a pangolin generously provided by the National Geographic Society and produced as a part of a two-year project conducted by members of the Emerging Wildlife Conservation Leaders fellowship program (Class 9). The following species are currently represented here:Black-bellied pangolin (Phataginus tetradactyla)White-bellied pangolin (Phataginus tricuspis)Chinese pangolin (Manis pentadactyla)Indian pangolin (Manis crassicaudata) (note that two different scale thicknesses are provided)
