Pangolin cross-sections
thingiverse
These are cross-sections of a pangolin (scans based on a Sunda pangolin, but not scaled to species-specific dimensions). These models can be flexibly scaled to roughly represent the size of any pangolin species of interest. They are intended for use in training pangolin field and handling techniques (e.g., notching for individual identification or approaches to attaching a tracking device to the scale) in order to reduce the need for testing and training on live pangolins. These scales were adapted from a 3D scan of a pangolin generously provided by the National Geographic Society and produced as a part of a two-year project conducted by members of the Emerging Wildlife Conservation Leaders fellowship program (Class 9).
