As part of my upgrade to a Duet Wifi board with a PanelDue for my Rostock Max V2, I wanted to take control panel placement to new heights and keep it out of reach for younger kids in my household. dc42's mount provided a solid blueprint, but I also wanted the front panel design to look more symmetrical. The design consists of three distinct components: A face plate that securely encloses the PanelDue and 7" LCD A replacement panel designed specifically for the upper section of the Rostock printer An adapter that seamlessly interfaces between the face plate and Rostock panel Design Considerations: No modifications are needed to the printer; it simply replaces one of the upper front panels. The elevated location for the PanelDue offers greater accessibility. Clears my enclosure door, providing unobstructed access. Provides easy access to the USB port. Additional Notes: This design is specifically tailored for V2 of the PanelDue board. Hardware consists of simple M3 screws that I had on hand. Cleaning up bolt holes before threading is highly recommended. I apologize for the subpar print quality in the pictures; I'm still calibrating my printer and was over-extruding. I added anchor dots for the PanelDue mount when printing, utilizing every bit of a 280mm diameter print area. Print Settings: Printer Brand: SeeMeCNC Printer: Rostock MAX v2 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: .2mm layer with .4 nozzle Infill: 20% hexagonal Post-Printing: Clear any bolt holes before threading to ensure a smooth finish. The holes for the bolts passing through the Rostock plate to the adapter piece will need clearance, as a thin layer was added to assist in the overhang for the recessed bolts.
