PanelDue 7i Magnetic 3030 mount case
cults3d
Magnetic mount for the PanelDue 7i. Designed with the E3D Toolchanger in mind, I found a fixed screen was restrictive especially when calibrating or making fine movements when aligning tools. I decided therefore to design a magnetic mount that could normally be mounted to the 3030/3060 frame but could be grabbed one-handed to operate the machine from the side/back. With the 0.73kg magnets I found it incredibly strong against forward or sideways movement but can be easily twisted off. The 'grip' is designed separately so can be printed in flexi, textured, in different colour or just completely left out. The back plate has 40*40mm mounting holes in case you wish to add an SD expansion or similar (designs in progress for the common SD and microSD boards). The Frame mount holds the final assembly 15mm(ish) from the front of the E3DTC to allow for doors to close in front and flush with the frame. Requires: 14 x M3 heat inserts (I used 5.7mm long, top right hole is shallower due to micro-usb connector so either ignore it or use a shorter 3-4mm insert) 4 x M3 (5-8mm long) for mounting paneldue to back plate 7 x M3 (6-10mm long) for mounting front panel to back plate 12-14 x Magnets (6mm diameter, 2mm thickness, 0.73kg pull)
