PanelDue 7i & 5i Cases with flexible mounts
thingiverse
Since the PanelDue 7i was still a relatively new product as of February 19th, 2018, there were no cases or mounts available at that time... until now! This case and mount combination is designed to securely attach to both 3030-series and 2020-series extrusions while also providing the ability to position the screen exactly where you want it. The PanelDue itself is held snugly inside of the case, but access to the screen and the connectors on the back of the panel remains unrestricted. As of today, April 22nd, 2019, I've uploaded a case designed in a similar style for the PanelDue 5i. This new case improves upon what was done for the 7i, and includes an opening to access the microSD card if desired. Currently untested though! The 5i case uses the same "Mount_Display", "Mount_Arm" and "Mount_Frame" printed parts as the 7i case does. To complete this project, you'll need a few additional parts beyond the printed parts: If You're Printing the 7i Case: You will need four M3X30mm screws to screw the front and back half of the case together. Four M3X6mm screws are also required to screw the mount onto the back of the case. Longer screws (M3X10 should be fine) can be used without running into the back of the PanelDue 7i PCB. You will also need eight M3 nuts. If You're Printing the 5i Case: You will need four M3X20mm screws to screw the front and back half of the case together. Parts Used for Both the 5i and 7i Cases: Two M5x30mm bolts are required to attach the arm to both the back of the case and the extrusion mount, along with two M5 Hex nuts used in conjunction with these bolts. Two M5x10mm bolts are also needed for mounting the bracket to the 3030 extrusion, along with two M5 T-nuts.
