Panel Wire Grommet With Slotted Opening - 1/2 inch thick, 3/4 inch long - with end cap nuts
thingiverse
I recently created a custom antenna connector passthrough panel for my window's exterior. The project required drilling a precise 1/2-inch hole on one side of the panel and designing a grommet that would securely hold cables in place within the hole. To achieve this, I threaded my antenna wires through a pre-cut slot and inserted foam insulation to create a water-tight seal from the outside. This setup is specifically designed for a 1/2-inch hole drilled through a 3/4-inch thick panel. UPDATE: I have added two new files as an update. In an attempt to replicate this design, I experimented with using a bolt split in half to enhance the overall strength of the grommet.
