Panel-mount potentiometer spacer
thingiverse
This is a straightforward spacer designed to work seamlessly with panel-mounted potentiometers or rotary switches, featuring a precise notch for the locating pin. I created this specifically for some DIY panels crafted from 1.5mm aluminum, allowing the potentiometer to be positioned lower so that the locating tab doesn't obstruct the panel and enabling the knob to sit flush against the panel surface without needing to shorten the shaft. In most situations, sufficient friction holds it in place, but if needed, the spacer can be securely glued to the panel to ensure the locating tab and notch align perfectly in their desired position. Included are STL files for 2.8mm and 2.0mm potentiometer spacers, along with a larger rotary switch spacer. SCAD files are easily customizable to suit specific dimensions.
