Yasmine Afshar, the photographer (http://yasmineafshar.com/), captured this sculpture at the Art Institute of Chicago as part of her residency. It is among a series of 3D scans she's sharing related to the museum and tagged with #museum3D. The artwork, attributed to Scipione Del Campo, is a limestone bas relief from a bridge house panel, created in 1932 and demolished in 1994-95. It's housed in the Department of Bridges and Transportation, City of Chicago since 1996 and displayed in Gallery 200 at AIC. Yasmine's images showcase her photography skills combined with advanced technology to provide unique perspectives on these historical artifacts. You can visit her website (http://tomburtonwood.com/) for more information about the residency and her work in general. The sculpture was photographed, 3D scanned, cleaned up, and printed using a Replicator 2X 3D printer in ABS material.
