Panel-enclosure for new SMD-based geiger counter by impexeris
thingiverse
By request of a Thingiverse user, this is a panel version of the top enclosure for the new SMD-based hardware version of the DIY geiger counter. This design is based on the original enclosure (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1934646) by my colleague, eBay vendor impexeris (http://www.ebay.com/usr/impexeris). It is designed for use with SBM-20 or CTC-5 geiger tubes and features push-buttons on the inside, as well as an iR remote control instead of buttons. The "click/tone" switch is also located on the inside and may not be used. To install the power switch, simply remove the thin mask covering the opening. Print Settings: Rafts: Doesn't Matter Resolution: 0.25 mm Infill: 20% Notes: Suggested print settings for PLA include: 0.4 mm print-head 0.25 mm resolution 20% in-fill ratio 2 shells 50mm/s default printing speed (may vary depending on your PLA) 50℃ heated bed 215℃ print-head temperature (may depend on your PLA) 100% fan speed 25% Support in-fill ratio To ensure a smooth top panel, use a good adhesion method. However, if you struggle with adhesion, try using all possible means to improve it, as this part has sharp straight corners and may curl at the edges. Post-Printing: The switch used is available on mouser.com (http://eu.mouser.com/ProductDetail/E-Switch/R6ABLKREDAF/?qs=sGAEpiMZZMtNT9UGfLL4eD%2ffQBVjEjwGqdlbQiyh%252bKc%3d). The datasheet for the switch can be found on mouser.com (http://www.mouser.com/ds/2/140/R6-346382.pdf).
