Covid-19 Survival Game: Number of Players: 2 to Entire Global Population Mandates: One infected player is selected at the start of the game. All players roll the die to determine which player will be infected "patient zero". The player whom rolls the lowest number is patient zero. In the event of a low number tie, those players re-roll until patient zero is determined. There are two types of tokens. These are antibody tokens and virus tokens. Choose the number of tokens for each player to start with during the game. The default is eight tokens per player. Antibody tokens and virus tokens should be distinguishable from each other. All uninfected players (everyone but patient zero) gets eight antibody tokens (use dimes or pennies or blank tokens, or virus tokens of one common color for all uninfected players). Patient zero unfortunately already has a high viral load and gets eight virus tokens (use dimes or pennies or virus tokens of a different color than is used for antibody tokens; something other than was chosen for antibody tokens). Patient zero starts the round and play proceeds clockwise. Patient zero rolls the die and places (spreads) one of their virus tokens into the respective slot number. If patient zero rolls a 1 to 5, they place a virus token onto the respective slot and their turn is over. If patient zero rolls a 6, their immune system neutralizes the virus, and the virus token will fall into the biohazard container via slot 6 which is longer than the rest of the slots and can no longer infect (out of play). Patient zero rolls again and places another virus token into that respective slot number. Patient zero continues play until patient zero rolls a number other than 6. Play proceeds clockwise. The uninfected player to the left of patient zero then rolls the die. If a player rolls a number with an empty slot, they place one of their tokens in the respective slot and their turn is over. If the slot is already occupied by another token, the player takes the token (a virus token for the first uninfected player but eventually could be either an antibody or virus token). If any player takes a virus token from any slot, that player is infected and stays infected until they are able to get rid of all virus tokens they are holding. All infected players should play their virus tokens first to recover from their Covid-19 infection. Uninfected players have no virus tokens initially and play using their antibody tokens. Players increasing the number of antibody tokens is equivalent to a stronger immune system whereas fewer antibody tokens represent a weakened immune system. The goal is for all players to recover from all infections before any player runs out of their tokens, at which point the game is over. For the players with remaining tokens, their antibody tokens neutralize their virus tokens (1 to 1) and are out of play. Any players left with one or more virus tokens after neutralizing some of their virus tokens using all of their antibody tokens unfortunately have lost their battle with Covid-19 and are now deceased. The winners are the ones still alive at the end. A new game may commence with the surviving players. The base and lid can be printed at 0.28 layer height 20% infill. Tokens and die can be printed at 0.20 layer height 100% infill. I would recommend printing at least 8 virus tokens and 16 antibody tokens (if not using dimes and/or pennies) to support three players. One die is also needed.
