Pancake-free Triceratops Skeleton
thingiverse
I woke up to a sweet surprise on my print bed, but it wasn't exactly what I was expecting - a batch of Stegosaurus bases had turned into pancakes instead! After tracing the problem back to its source, I pinpointed the issue to a faulty 3D model. To get everything back on track, I dove headfirst into repairing all the dinosaur models in my collection. With precision and care, I worked through each part, making sure they were print-ready once again. Thanks to my attention to detail, the models are now error-free and ready for printing. Here's what I did to fix them: I tackled the issues one by one: - Corrected normals to ensure smooth surfaces - Closed any open solids to prevent gaps from forming - Removed self-intersections that were causing problems - Made sure each model was manifold, a crucial step in preventing errors Some of these models required multiple passes before they were completely clean. To double-check my work, I ran them through Windows 3D Builder and gave the OK once they passed with flying colors.
