I'm thrilled that my solution was able to save the day! Your device was on the verge of being beyond repair, but thanks to some creative problem-solving, it's now up and running like new. The mysterious door latch failure turned out to be a relatively simple fix - a minor adjustment in length by 2mm, a slight increase in height by 1mm, and some precision shaving off of the depth were all that was needed to get everything working smoothly again.
