Panasonic/Lumix G85 Camera Cage
thingiverse
A homebrew camera cage for the Panasonic Lumix G85. Not as fancy as the real deal, but I don't like buying expensive accessories, and like the learning and challenge that comes with designing one. All the holes will need to be reamed and tapped to accept 3/8 x 16 NC threaded 1/4-20NC adapters. I found that just having one 1/4-20 threaded hold on the bottom is fine for some locked off shooting, but two works better, so I designed up a quick release plate which would fix through the cage into the original on the camera and one that would fix into the cage only, however you will have to replicate whichever plate you have. This is an older camera, so I assume there will be fewer people interested, hence the lack of refinement. You can by packs of threaded adapters online, you will need to grind one down on the bottom plate. You will also need to tap 1/4-20NC thread into the hot shoe hold down, they connects the top of the camera with the cage.
