This is a special part that fits between the top and bottom of the shaver when it's not in use. Its main purpose is to speed up drying after each use so unwanted bacteria don't have a cozy spot to grow without needing harsh chemicals, which can damage the shaver. This attachment also keeps the foil and blades separate to prevent corrosion caused by different metals touching and coming into contact with conductive liquids. While just disconnecting the top would be better at preventing corrosion, it could lead to loss of parts or mechanical damage when others move your belongings without permission. Drying with a towel or hair dryer is still necessary, but this attachment makes the process faster and less tedious. This part fits all ES-RTx7 shavers due to their identical design, although I've only tested it on the ES-RT37 model.
