Panasonic 42.5mm f1.7 Lens Hood

This is a lens hood for the Panasonic 42.5mm f.17 micro four thirds lens. The mount snaps in place like the real lens hood. It is a little tricky to take off the first time (just like the real ones) but loosens up pretty quickly. It isn't reversible.

The print with the rough surface was done using Cura's Fuzzy surface experimental option and a support blocker to make sure it only printed on the hood part.

Print Settings

Printer Brand:

Creality

Printer:

Ender 5

Rafts:

No

Supports:

Yes

Resolution:

.2mm

Infill:

25%

Filament: eSun PLA Black

Notes:

It took some trial and error to get all the sizes right and printer settings may throw it off. I printed mine on an Ender 5 Pro sliced in Cura 4.6. The important settings were:
Print with the bottom down.
0.2mm Layer Height

0.4mm Wall Line Width

3 Wall Line Count

25% Infil.

Supports Enabled

Horizontal Expansion: 2 (This setting wasn't shown by default but it wasn't generating full supports without it).

This was printable without supports but the fit was way better with them and the amount of supports needed are minimal and only in the first layers.

Category: Camera
