Pan Removing a Thorn From The Foot of Satyr at The Louvre, Paris

myminifactory

Pan, the Greek god of shepherds and herdsmen, stands out as a hybrid figure, half man, half goat. This group, with several Roman variants, preserves memories of an ancient Greek work now lost, dating back to 50 BC. It echoes the grotesque style celebrated in the Capitol Museum's 'Thorn Puller' sculpture in Rome (also available on MyMiniFactory). This object is part of "Scan The World," a non-profit initiative launched by MyMiniFactory. Through Scan The World, we're creating a digital archive of fully 3D printable sculptures, artworks, and landmarks from around the globe for public access at no cost. Scan The World is an open-source community effort, where you can contribute interesting items from your surroundings. If you'd like to help, email stw@myminifactory.com to learn how.
