Palmiga RC-Car Basilisk Tires

I'm excited to see if anyone can make these tires work! I designed them about two years ago, but never had the chance to test them out myself. They were meant to run on water, which would be an amazing feat - will they also allow for smooth turns while driving on the surface? Perhaps they'll also perform well in soft sand or snow. Take a look at the videos: https://youtu.be/1F0dRUcycSQ and https://youtu.be/VHpOQspdEdI. This design is dedicated to the OpenRC project by Daniel Norée, but as you can see, the tires are versatile and will work on other cars too! I printed these tires using PI-ETPU 95-250 Carbon Black filament, but feel free to experiment with different materials. Please note that my own filament has some unique benefits: • It eliminates stringing/webbing issues. • Its hardness of 95 shore A makes for great print quality. • The carbon black filler acts as an excellent UV stabilizer, making the prints last in harsh environments. • The matte black finish looks sleek and exclusive. • The material feels nice to touch and is dry to the touch. • It has a high elongation at break of 250%.
