Palmiga Globe Bouquet Vase - Pillar-base
pinshape
This base was designed to perfectly complement my Globe Bouquet Vase, allowing it to be placed atop a pillar or pole in the garden. I created my Globe Bouquet Vase as a clever commentary on the proliferation of 3D printed vases that focus solely on their own intricate designs. While it's indeed fun and impressive to see the creativity involved in designing complex 3D printed vases, doesn't the true beauty lie in the flowers they hold? No 3D print can replicate the natural elegance of fresh blooms. My vase was designed to blend seamlessly into its surroundings, showcasing the flowers as the main attraction by forming a stunning Globe Bouquet. I didn't want the design to be overlooked, so I aimed for a balance between aesthetics and functionality. The base is optimized for printing without support, making it possible to scale down for smaller printers (174 mm x 179 mm x 159 mm at 100%). In my pictures and videos, it's printed at 80% with 0.2mm layers and a 0.7mm nozzle. Paired with the base part and a pillar, it's a great starting point for creating a parkway lined with elevated Globe Bouquets... (base printed at 70% in the picture). The outer holes combined with the inner geometry create countless arrangements of flowers. If you're not interested in flowers, this vase would make an excellent prop for Comic Con as the top of a Wizard Staff or Alien Weaponry. I challenge everyone to design a creative base for my Globe Bouquet Vase, allowing it to transform into something entirely new. There are no rules; the only reward is fame, glory, and hopefully pride. The lowest 2mm of the vase can be found here (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1060145) as a STEP-file, making it easy to design your own unique base. The vase itself is available for free download here (https://www.myminifactory.com/object/palmiga-globe-bouquet-vase-13379), and as part of the "Support-Free Vase & Planter Design competition," it's now available for just $9.99, a significant discount from its standard price of $39.
