Palmer Cord Style Aircraft Wheels

Hi\r\nI needed a set of wheels for my friend's Flair 'Puppeteer' biplane lookalike, so I decided to print some - they're similar in style to the commercially available items and are meant to resemble 'Palmer Cord' style wheels - they're 110mm OD (4.33" for any colonials).\r\nMaterial is Red PLA from Rigid Ink. Rubber 'tyres' are from a length of 10mm nitrile gasket material - sourced on eBay here in the UK.\r\nI've also attached a slicing/fitting jig for the nitrile gasket - gives a neat square face to cut and glue the gasket - use medium CA glue to join the ends.\r\nOnce printed and fettled, I put the tyres on the rims and attach using thin CA run along the edges.\r\nThe wheel was designed in Fusion 360 and the cord slicer in TinkerCAD - Fusion is a bit OTT for that.\r\nI've included the STLs and S3D factory files for anyone that needs them.\r\nThe wheels are made using a 1.5mm solid filled shell and a 2mm boss around the axle - support is then set in the inner space - I tried without, but the upper surface was a tad wrinkly due to the obtuse angle used on the wheel surface.
