Since it was Veganuary and my chances of following that diet were practically zero, I stumbled upon a set of wargame rules called "Palaeo Diet - Eat or Be Eaten" from Ganesha Games, available as a pdf download from the Wargame Vault. This game can be played solo, which gave me a moral boost. As usual when I find a new set of wargame rules but lack the necessary figures and don't want to spend money, I resort to creating my own cheap, quick, and simple flat minis. Here are some animals I've created so far: - Woolly mammoths - Deer - Wild goats - Wolves (with an alternative mid-section for variety) - Sabre-tooth tigers More animals will be added soon. The hunters consist of one piece each, representing a hunter holding a spear, bow, fire, and club as per the rules. I've also included a fire marker, some rulers for S, M, and L distances, and you should be able to find some D6s.
