Painting Rotating Stand

Update 2019-01-15: Having built two of these now, one for myself and one for a friend, I realized that I didn't need ballast to weigh down the stand so I designed a solid base as one piece. Update 2019-01-12: Fixed tread on the Base and Base Lid. Added small grooves to the Base to lock it in place and make screwing and unscrewing the Base Lid easier. Fixed the orientation of the Base Lid and Platform when importing into slicer. I was inspired to start painting some of my prints after watching @3dmakernoob's painting videos. I decided to build a painting stand like Joe is using. I designed it in Fusion 360. This is a first attempt, overbuilt but will do the job nicely for now. I may modify the design in the future after I've used it for a while. It requires 2 608 bearings and 1 M8X80 bolt with nut to put together. The base is hollow with a screw on bottom so ballast can be added to weigh down the stand for stability, but I don't think it will be necessary. I printed this in ColorFabb PLA Economy Silver. This was my first time using this filament and I had trouble setting up my printer, but the print came out nice anyway. Now all I need is some Plasti Dip to coat the top platter and it will be ready to go. I have included 2 different stem files. One is a simple stem and the other has a ribbed base. When I first designed the stand, my intention was for my hand to rest on the base and rotate using the stem. But after re-watching one of @3dmakernoob's videos, I noticed he was rotating the stand by the base, so I modified the stem to have a base. For the Base Lid, the tread didn't come out perfectly but it works. I used the same type and setting as in my barrel bank design, but didn't get the same result. I may change this in the future. The lid also has 6 20mm square recesses for installing silicone pads for stability. The bearings might be a tight fit. Use the M8 bolt and nut to press them into position before assembling the base with the stem and platter.
