For practice painting, rather than work on a model directly, this provides a test object to practice technique, in this case painting a jet exhaust for a fighter model. The test is generic and not meant to represent any particular model or aircraft. The idea is to use the cheaper printed version to practice, to minimize the likelihood of messing up the actual model. It can also serve to test different colors or techniques for the painting of the jet exhaust. The test print image above is simply primed in white to better show the part.
