Moving on to something new. Now available here: https://www.prusaprinters.org/prints/8789-painting-hook-for-rail-system --- I recently ordered canvases with photos from my NYC vacation, and I was thrilled with how affordable they were. However, adding some hooks to the canvas proved to be a costly venture, with prices up to 1/3 of the total cost. Moreover, reviews indicated that the quality of the hooks left much to be desired. To avoid breaking the bank, I decided to take matters into my own hands and create my own hooks. The estimated cost came out to be around 15 cents, a fraction of what it would have cost me otherwise. I utilized a Duraline rail system for paintings, which comes with some bulky hooks that can add extra space between the canvas and the wall. My design aimed to compensate for this issue. One advantage of using these rails is that you can easily move the canvases around without having to drill additional holes. The hooks I designed are surprisingly sturdy, requiring only one screw to secure them in place. The best part? You can align them afterwards, ensuring a perfect fit with the Duraline hook. And when you move the canvas, the hook stays firmly in place, without any signs of movement or detachment.
