Painting caltrop
thingiverse
Since I constantly struggle to gather enough small scraps of wood to use as supports when painting or varnishing tiny objects, I've been relying on these custom-made pieces. Equilateral tetragons by design, they always sit upright whenever dropped, making them incredibly convenient. By hollowing out the center, I'm able to minimize material usage - especially crucial when working with resin in my projects. The addition of ball ends helps prevent unwanted marks on delicate surfaces, while a small scoop on the object's face significantly reduces the likelihood of it getting stuck to whatever it's placed upon.
