I've built my own take on several tools like this. It's a mix of creating something from scratch because I enjoy making things myself, and testing how the Tornado handles supporting complex projects. This design will hold up some scroll saw art pieces for staining or painting, typically nothing too heavy, but I made it robust anyway. The points are extremely sharp. This project is still in its development phase. The end result turned out a bit rough around the edges, but that's okay since perfection isn't my goal here. The edges may not be perfect, but they'll soon have paint and stain on them at the shop. Please note: This model is 25mm tall, so you might want to adjust the scale for your specific project. I scaled mine up to 50mm for the photos shown, and it worked okay. The ideal scale will depend on how large your project needs to be.
