Painter's Pyramids for the Bench Donut

The Bench Donut is a weighted workholder with an integrated threaded insert (two M6 nuts) and grippy surfaces. It's useful around the shop for sawing, lifting pieces, and a myrad of other uses. This remix adds a painter's pyramid/triangle to the bench donut. ## Features * Can be printed with PLA, ABS, PETG or any rigid material. * Pyramid tip is very slightly blunted so as not injure when handled or stepped on. * Robust, easy to print construction. * No support material needed. ## What to print The model comes in two parts: * The pyramid itself, with a central hexagonal hole for a M6 bolt or nut. * A base to keep the M6 hardware captive. There are three versions of the base, depending on your needs: * A thinner version with locating pins intended for gluing the base to the pyramid. * A thicker base which can be fastened to the pyramid using M3 8mm bolts (4mm ones work too). * A base which has wings to clip itself to the bench donut. It fastens to the pyramid using M3s. ## How to use For the non-clip version, you can insert either an M6 nut or an M6 bolt. When using the bolt, you can simply screw the painter's pyramid onto the bench donut. When using a nut instead, you can rely on the grippy-ness of the donut, or use a section of M6 threaded rod. Either way, the painter's pyramid is compatible with risers. For the clip version, it is recommended to use an M6 nut in the pyramid for use with risers. Otherwise, it simply clips on to the donut. As a bonus, the non-clip version can be used without a bench donut. ## Why not just a standalone pyramid? There are many of those available online for you to find. The downside is they are all very light, and tend to skitter and slide around flat surfaces, possibly compromising your finish in the process. As the bench donut is weighted, these move a *lot* less. Furthermore, donuts can be stacked, bolted to risers or clipped to sawhorses.
