This adapter converts a reciprocating saw into a device for shaking spray cans. Simply slide it over an old saw blade and ensure that the adapter doesn't touch the saw's front end when the blade is moving back and forth. Next, drill a 3.2- to 3.5mm hole through the blade at the point where the adapter will be attached, then secure the adapter with a M3 screw and nut. To prevent the can from wobbling while shaking, insert self-adhesive rubber feet or other sticky materials into the adapter's walls where the spray can sits. Secure the spray can to the adapter using Velcro tape cable wrap. This type of tape can be purchased online at shops like Alibaba, for example. The tape will hold itself in place on the adapter when wrapped around the small slot at its bottom. Alternatively, you can punch a screw through the Velcro tape to secure it, making sure to use large washers so that the tape doesn't slip off the screw. For best results, hold the can vertically upwards or downwards while shaking, allowing the steel balls inside to bounce against the can's bottom or top. Holding the can horizontally while shaking has less effect, as the steel balls remain in the middle of the can.
