Paint Roller Filament Holder for M3D printer
thingiverse
Yannicflight's ingenious M3D spool holder design has a unique paint roller handle base. Despite its brilliance, it didn't fit my M3D printer for an unknown reason. I've modified the part to ensure it fits my machine perfectly and added a FreeCAD model so you can customize it according to your needs. Update: To address the request, a version with a 10mm (specifically, 10.2mm for clearance) hole has been added along with its respective FreeCAD model. Print Settings: Printer: M3D Micro Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Doesn't Matter Resolution: 0.2 mm Infill: 25% Notes: I printed the part in PLA at 30% infill and found it remarkably sturdy. As my experience with the M3D goes, a raft is almost always required; however, results may vary for your setup. Typically, supports should not be needed. How It Was Designed FreeCAD The model was crafted using FreeCAD. Since the part is uncomplicated, I utilized a parametric approach and maintained simplicity throughout the design process.
