I upgraded an old paint roller with interchangeable sleeves I crafted to hold filament spools featuring either 2" or 2-3/4" center holes. Now my filament unwinds from the roll as smoothly as a freshly applied coat of paint! I reinforced the design with a corner brace for extra stability. Remember, when printing the corner brace, use a flexible filament that will snap easily into place to ensure a secure fit. Note that this design is intended for 7mm diameter rods, but check your paint roller specifications first, as they may vary.
