I noticed the paint holder problem when I went to decorate my 3D models. Instead of buying one for $10-$15, I decided to try designing my own using Fusion 360. The result turned out pretty good considering how much time I invested in it. Feel free to point out any improvements and ask me questions if you need clarification. This particular model's diameter is approximately 4.7 inches due to the fact that I only need a small amount of paint at a time, making the smaller size more convenient for portability. You can easily scale up or down according to your needs. I plan to apply a clear coat using a spray to make cleaning easier, but it's not mandatory. I'm planning to print and post photos of my results later this week.
