This is a simple paint pallet with space for primary and secondary color mixtures. Project: Paint Pallet Objectives: To create a simple paint pallet product and 3d print To learn simple skills in inventor to make the product in 3d Audience: Art and design teachers and students who need more paint pallets but don't have the time to order them. Preparation: First, students need to decide the size of the pallet and how many colors they wish to include in their idea. Steps: Draw a rectangle as a 2d sketch in inventor Extrude it to 10mm thick Add a sketch to the top plane Draw circles in the arrangement you want Extrude/cut to remove material and create your pallet. Save as STL and print Results: Our example was fairly small in size, so I would be tempted to extend it and shell out the underneath to save material. Also, color labels would have been a nice addition.
