Paint mixing tray and lid
thingiverse
I needed a customizable paint palette to pour and mix colors efficiently, but I was surprised by the limited options available, so I designed one that exceeded my expectations. It features large and small basins for storing and mixing paints as needed, along with holes to securely hold brushes upright on the side. To ensure easy cleaning of these holes, I incorporated a hollow design that allows them to be rinsed under the sink. Additionally, I included a detachable tray to prevent paint from getting on the table, which can also be used as a lid to keep paints fresh when not in use. I created both a tall and shallow version of the palette. The tall version provides better brush storage but requires more time and material to print, whereas the shallow version prints faster and uses less material. To facilitate customization, I have included the design files, allowing users to modify the palette without having to reverse-engineer it or convert STL files. Instead, they can open the design in Fusion 360, adjust parameters as needed, and export the updated file back to a slicer for printing.
