Paint Holder V3
thingiverse
Howdy, it has been a hwile. This here contraption will hold thy paints in a cylindrical position for easy selection and lovely twirling action. This improved version (of paintholder V2) offers: improved printabililty, better hold of the paint bottles, has a paint rack layer for vallejo/armypainter paints and allowes the addition of many rack layers before the tower of paint becomes unstable. I personally have 6 layers and believe it would be possible to have at least 8 without major stability issues, which can of course be later solved with beefier foot part. To make this dreamy paint rack yours you just need to buy yerself a 10mm diameter barrel/pipe/stick of sorts. I went with 10mm aluminum pipe myself and cut a length of 65cm in order to accommodate at least 9 rack layers. (In freedom units: diameter of 3/8" or 0.39370 Inches and a length of ~26") These rack parts have been modelled so that there would be no need to use supports, hence there be a "washer" for the bottom rack that holds the big wash bottles. If there is enough interest I might make a bottom rack which holds vallejo bottles, but with my uploading rate I wouldn't hold your breath. 0.15 mm layer height outght do ya, don't ask further printer settings ye ought to lern thy own machine. If it fails there is something wrong with your print settings/printer/filament/environment, not the files. If paintracklayers seem to stick to either your pole or to each other use silicone lubricant (orwhatevs) to restore the freedom of rotation in order to maintain luxurious paint selection experience. No, I wont split it into multiple parts for smaller printers, do that yourself. There be plenty o software capable of editing meshes. Contrary to popular belief, there are many stupid questions. Keep those to yourself. yours truly V.
