The model is a customizable simplified buddhist pagoda temple in the style of storied buildings and pavilions. By history, there were lots of rules to build it, such as the pagoda should have even number faces(4, 6, 8, 10), odd number floors (5,7,9... based on the spiritual stage of the monk), and no more than 13 floors … Since this type of pagoda is climbable as a tower, I made it empty inside and printed each floor and the bell separately, then sticked them together and hung the bells on. For me, it’s functioned as a perfect lampshade for a useless spotlight. The transparent PLA is really bad at hiding the infill struct especially expose to the light. To print as a whole, just comment out the “different” function for the “inside” to get a fake window version. Have fun with all the parameters! Next, I plan to customize it to simulate some famous ancient pagoda in China.
