A thumb book holder is a device that keeps large books open while you read by holding their pages. My coworker asked me to print one based on a low-res photo she showed me from an article about Japanese product designs. I used Illustrator and OpenSCAD to create the 2D design, although there might be simpler methods. If you have any tips, feel free to share. Later, I discovered that this was not an original idea; it's similar to a design on Thingiverse (thing:1120) with another closer design (thing:1747). The STL file should be scaled according to the size of your thumb, as the default setting is for an adult male thumb. I printed mine using ABS filament on a Thing-O-Matic at 25% infill and without extra shells.
