Padlock, All Wood
thingiverse
A clever wooden padlock that's designed to be "mentally locked." The standard methods people use to open it will actually hinder their efforts instead. Most individuals will try to grasp both ends and twist in opposite directions. This lock measures 1 inch by 0.75 inches by 1.25 inches when closed. It's recommended to sand the wood before cutting to ensure uniform thickness and a more rustic appearance. A small note: The 'Perm' panels are incorrectly placed in the assembled picture. Post-Printing Special Instructions Wipe all edges carefully, as you're likely aware of this crucial step. Due to my inability to accurately describe the assembly process through words, I've included a photograph to assist with understanding. It's actually quite straightforward if attention is paid to alignment. To open: Twist both 'Perm' panels until they come to a stop. The shackle should now slide freely. To lock: Secure the shackle in place and return 'Perm' panels to their locked position.
