Paddle Gear Demonstration
thingiverse
Before I took apart my first toaster (bimetallic strips are cool!) I remember pulling something like this from the discarded remains of something-or-other. The design came to mind as I was pondering the |simplest| gearing I could get away with for yet-another DC motorized toy. Shared here for your re-use and / or fidgeting enjoyment, lacking a better name for this contraption I call it a "Paddle Gear." I be sharing both the actual, as well as the 2x "read my lips," designs. Print with "supports everywhere." I use lots of infill, as well. Note that I am presently working this precise paddle gear concept into a rail-powered, printed, Christmas train-set. -I hope to be able to share it with you soon ... Enjoy the gear-spiration! =)
