grabcad
This is the lower crankcase (oil pan) for an engine I can't name or it will be removed, but it rhymes with Molls Moyce Derlin, except it's the version built in America by Packard. Here is the casting for "621330 - Crankcase, Lower Half", a.k.a the oil pan, for the V1650-7 Packard Merlin engine. Licensed from XXXXX XXXXX this engine saw service in numerous airframes and even small ships during WWII, most notably as the power plant for the North American P-51 Mustang. Please look forward to the machined part in the completed lower crankcase assembly in the near future. Please see my other models for more parts of the Packard Merlin
