Pacific Steam Whaling Co. Bone House

The Pacific Steam Whaling Co. built the Bone House as a warehouse during the 1890s. The Mounted Police kept using this building for storing goods until they departed the island. Routine maintenance has been done on this structure to preserve it. Today, the main section of the building serves as an open storage space for artifacts discovered on the island while the adjacent areas are used for storing materials and equipment utilized within the Park.
