P802M Pen Holder
pinshape
Summary Project: Repurposing a Prusa i3 P802M as a Plotter. I designed this project to seamlessly integrate with the original carriage. To fit it, simply unscrew the two M3 screws located under the extruder and insert the new carriage from the bottom. File Myke974_plotter02b: This version features a 10mm pen hole, equivalent to pen holder v3. File Myke974_plotter02: This version has a larger 23.31mm pen hole, corresponding to pen holder v1. This design can be used in conjunction with a level sensor for added functionality. Update April 7, 2016 File Myke974_plotter02b: I recently lowered the pen hole diameter in Inventor, resulting in a problem where the pen cannot pass through the bottom cart hole. This issue can be resolved by adjusting the position of the pen hole closer to the front face. I will address this issue soon. Print Settings Printer: Prusa i3 P802MA Rafts: Yes Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.1 Infill: 20% Design Process To create this project, I began by drawing the original X carriage and then used that design as a basis for creating the pen holder. Additionally, I disconnected the electrics wires on the extruder and added plugs for easy removal, effectively transforming my 3D printer into a 3D plotter.
