This adapter locks down an 8mm lead screw with an 608zz bearing secured firmly onto the 8mm rod, keeping the screw clear from touching a steel chassis while allowing it to spin freely and remain locked into position. The tight fit requires you to press it onto the 8mm rod much like the 608zz does, which may need minor filing as a result. So far, this adapter has performed flawlessly for me ever since its installation months ago, so I'm confident in its ability. Printing it with PLA yields optimal results, offering resistance to heat stress and attaining necessary rigidity for this project. As shown in the provided picture, this setup also includes a Z top cap to securely hold the 8mm rod in place, as do the STL files accompanying these newly designed Z tops.
