P3steel y-Axis smoothrod mount
thingiverse
I recently encountered an issue where my p3Steel (y-Axis) rod had too much play, which necessitated designing a custom mount to address the problem. This mount proves effective even without employing a screw, achieving a remarkably snug fit. To expand upon this design, I will also create a complementary mount for the z-Axis, featuring an integrated tightening system. For those seeking to replicate my setup, note that PLA and ABS filament are suitable choices due to their reliable performance under standard printing conditions. As neither of these materials necessitates additional support during printing, the process can proceed unencumbered. Using a 0.3mm nozzle with a 50% infill setting, combined with three perimeter passes, has yielded successful results for me. Specifically, I have managed to print four front and four rear pieces using PLA within an impressive total of two hours.
