<h3>Irobri's P3Steel v2.01 redesigned by Paciente8159 (v2.2)</h3> <p>This a redesign of irobri's near perfect P3Steel 3mm steel laser cut v2.01 3D printer</p> <p>I actually have one (<strong>and I love it</strong>) an these changes reflect some of the things I would like mine to have. It was also changed with Diamond Head hot end in mind :-)</p> <p>This is still a work in progress so future changes may occur.</p> <p>For now this is what I've redesigned: <strong>17-03-2016 Update</strong></p> <ul> <li>Holes to mount the RAMPS vertically</li> </ul> <p><strong>Base version</strong></p> <ul> <li>Larger holes the the main frame similar to v4 of the P3Steel frame to reduce weight and lower production costs (number and distance of cuts)</li> <li>Slightly enlarged holes for the z stepper cables</li> <li>Added clearance in the main frame cut to let the Y axis belt holder pass</li> <li>Added cuts in the main frame to install up to 3 bowden extruders (cold end)</li> <li>En longed side cuts to accommodate different power supplies</li> <li>Reduced diameter of the holes for the Z axis smooth rods to prevent loosen linear rails</li> <li>Changed Y axis idler piece to use F604ZZ bearing and re-centered the holes to allow a perfect and parallel line up of the Y belt</li> <li>Simplified and removed several cuts on the triangular side and front and back plates to reduce production costs</li> <li>Added support structure in a way that can accommodate 3 spools of filament using and M8 threaded rod and printed spool holders that are designed around common 608ZZ bearings (skate bearings)</li> <li>Removed screw insert in the between the main frame and the side triangles (in the middle) to reduce the possibility of undesired hit's</li> </ul> <p>These were the main changes. <strong>Future changes may follow.</strong></p> Category: 3D Printers
